Biography

Valerie Duff is the author of To the New World, published by Salmon Poetry, and she is the poetry editor of Salamander Magazine.  She has received grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and St. Botolph Foundation for her work, and she has been awarded fellowships from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and from the Writers' Room of Boston.

Her poems have appeared in POETRY, PN Review, The Common, Ploughshares, Antioch Review, and elsewhere. 

She has taught writing at Boston College, Boston University, and Grub Street, and poems have been anthologized in Zoland Poetry: Volume One. She is a regular reviewer for Salamander; reviews and writings have also appeared in The Boston Globe, Harvard Review, and other periodicals and journals.

She studied poetry at Boston University and Trinity College, Dublin.
